Phoenix Premier Jasmine Tea was carefully harvested and picked high quality loose Green Tea leaves infused with the sweet scent of Jasmine flower. Packaged in a beautifully designed tin with a traditional Chinese pattern. Light and refreshing, it is a great tea for drinking throughout the day.

Standard Steps for Brewing Chinese JASMINE Tea

  • Warm Up Tea Set: Use boiling water to warm the teapot and wash the tea set in preparation for tea
  • Add Tea Leaves: choose 4g-7g of tea leaves depending on personal taste; For weaker tasting tea - Decrease the amount of tea leaves; For stronger tasting tea - Increase the amount of leaves
  • ADD WATER: Use 150ml-200ml of water between the temperature of 85°c - 90°c (Preferably good spring water or filtered tap water)
  • BREW TEA: Leave the first tea to brew anything between 15-20 seconds, then add 5-10 seconds on top of the previous brewing time for each brew afterwards
  • ENJOY YOUR TEA: Once brewed, strain the infusion into the serving jug then pour as required into individual cups


The tea leaves can be brewed up to 5-7 times. Traditionally the 2nd and 3rd brews are the best.

Phoenix Ripe Loose Pu-Erh Tea Leaves 100g

 


Pu-erh or Pu'er tea is a variety of fermented dark tea. With it's distinctive flavours and earthy tones it could be considered an acquired taste to some. Grown in the Yunnan Province in China it develops its flavour through wet-fermentation and long maturity and is said to improve with age. As well as its taste, it is also drunk for its alleged beneficial qualities and health benefits, weight loss, helping with high cholesterol and aiding in digestion to name a few.

Phoenix Pu-Erh Tea is the Ripened style which has been carefully harvested and fermented in Menghai, Yunnan province, China. Then they were stored for another 3 years for further aging and mellowing. Packaged in a beautifully designed tin with a traditional Chinese pattern.

Taste: Slightly sweet and earthy

Age: More than 3 years

Standard Steps for Brewing Chinese PU-ERH Tea

  • Warm Up Tea Set: Use boiling water to warm the teapot and wash the tea set in preparation for tea
  • Add Tea Leaves: choose 5g - 7g of tea leaves depending on personal taste; For weaker tasting tea - Decrease the amount of tea leaves; For stronger tasting tea - Increase the amount of leaves
  • ADD WATER: Use 150ml - 250ml of water between the temperature of 90°c - 95°c (Preferably good spring water or filtered tap water)
  • BREW TEA: Leave the first tea to brew anything between 10 - 15 seconds, each brew after leave to brew for a further 5-10  seconds
  • ENJOY YOUR TEA: Once brewed, strain the infusion into the serving jug then pour as required into individual cups
*Tip: If the earthy taste is too strong, you can pre-brew the tea first: add 100ml water (90°c - 95°c) to the tea after warming up the tea set. Then pour all of the water out immediately. Repeat one more time. Then brew your tea as normal.

 

The tea leaves can be brewed up to 7-9 times. Traditionally the 2nd and 3rd brews are the best.

Phoenix Tie Guan Yin Loose Oolong Tea 100g

 


Oolong teas are ranked as some of the best in the world, with semi-fermented leaves half way between a black and a green tea. Their floral, lingering sweetness comes from a process of repeatedly bruising and shaking the leaves.

Tie Guan Yin, also known as Iron Goddess, invented during Qing Dynasty, is the most well known and top variety type of Oolong Tea from the Anxi, Fujian province. It has a distinctive shapes to the leaves which are quite different from other varieties of Oolong. Although the teas go through quite a complicated process, the fermentation is light. The production process has around 12 steps that it must go through, the tossing of the tea leaves is one of the most important steps, which creates the unique taste and fragrance.

Phoenix Tie Guan Yin is the 'light aroma' sytle which was lightly oxidized, lightly roasted with a very flowery and fresh delicate aroma character and golden yellow tea liquid. They were carefully harvested and picked in autumn from Anxi, Fujian province, China. Packaged in a beautifully designed tin with a traditional Chinese pattern.

Leaf Type: Oolong Tea

Taste: Aromatic with a Floral Sweetness (Light Aroma Style)

  • Add Tea Leaves: choose 7g-10g of tea leaves depending on personal taste; For weaker tasting tea - Decrease the amount of tea leaves; For stronger tasting tea - Increase the amount of leaves
  • ADD WATER: Use 150ml - 250ml of water between the temperature of 90°c - 95°c (Preferably good spring water or filtered tap water)
  • BREW TEA: Leave the first tea to brew anything between 30-35 seconds, each brew after leave to brew for a further 5-10 seconds
  • ENJOY YOUR TEA: Once brewed, strain the infusion into the serving jug then pour as required into individual cups
